Movie Night

This entry is not for a weak stomach. We had our first case of public up-chuck Friday at the movie theater. Oh the joys of being a parent! :o)

We declared Friday night "Family Movie Night" and Paisley choose Bolt in 3D. We settled into our seats with candy, drinks and popcorn enjoying the previews. Then Paisley starting coughing and next thing we knew Paisley was up-chucking all over herself. That's right folks Paisley up-chucked in the theater. Activate "Parent" mode:
1) Paisley - She is fine and ready to sit back down to watch the movie so Toby works on cleaning her up.
2) Mess - I look around and no one -thank goodness is setting in our row or the one behind us. I clean the seat and floor with the few napkins I had and throw them into the popcorn tub because who really wants popcorn now? Not me!
3) Exit Theater - On our way out of the theater I let the ticket guy know a clean up was needed. Unfortunately Paisley got the brunt of the mess on herself so we went straight to the bathroom to survey the damage. Paisley was distracting me being her normal chatty self when I notice that the bathroom has gone "Green". With the amount of chunks that I was dealing with it was easier to just strip her down to her undies and wrap her up in Toby's jacket.

The ride home wasn't fun, she cried most of the way wanting us to turn around so we could watch Bolt. When we got to our house Toby dropped us off and left to get Paisley a new movie to make up for not being at the theater. What a good daddy!

Paisley didn't get sick any other time this weekend and a runny nose and cough is all that she is suffering from now. Just another fun filled weekend that the Vincent House! :o)

Dancing Queen

As most of you know my hubby is know for his stellar dance moves (I say this with my tongue firmly planted in my check). Having said that, Toby has made it his mission to pass his dancing legacy on to Paisley. I believe she will be the most made fun of kid in her class. It is my understanding that the "Lawn Mower", "Pencil Sharpener - thank you Erika" and "Shopping Cart" are all dances that will be taught at a later time. Feel free to vote on your favorite move, Enjoy!!

Blast from the Past

Last week I went to the New Kids on the Block concert. That's right, I said it. I went to the New Kids on the Block concert and I loved it!! It was crazy to see all the women fans (and some men) sporting the shirts from back in the day. I even spotted a few side ponytails and crimped hair. When they took the stage everyone was on their feet screaming and it didn't clam down until they left the stage. I felt like I was 12 again only I could drink! :o)

Baby Fiona

I got a new camera as an early Christmas gift so I am breaking it in on friends and family. Thank you Clare for letting me take pictures of Fiona. She is a super cute model.

Holly Belly Pics

Here are a few belly pics of my sister in-law, brother and niece. Karly is scheduled to make her debut Dec. 1st. The whole family is excited to meet her!

Toby's Cakes

Toby finally knows who he wants to be when he grows up, Duff from Ace of Cakes. For anyone that has not seen this show it is on the Food Network or check out the website: http://www.charmcitycakes.com/. (Duff is a manly man that bakes amazing cakes.) Here are a few of the cakes that Toby has made so far. I think these cakes would make Duff proud! The Dino is the newest cake.

Fall Fun

Fall is my favorite season! I love the smells, the cool crisp air and all the fun things the season has to offer (like playing in the leaves).

Halloween 2008

This year I stayed home and handed out candy while Toby and Paisley trick or treated. Paisley had a blast, with the exception of one scary house that threatened to cut her night short. And the word on the street is that she was very polite.

After trick or treating Paisley helped me pass out candy but was relieved of her candy duties when she invited strangers in to play. Looks like next year we will have to work on the etiquette of passing out candy.

* You don't say "trick or treat" when you are handing out candy
* Strangers are NOT allowed in to play
* The rule for handing out candy is not "One for you , two for me"

HAPPY HALLOWEEN from the Vincent Family!!

And The Winner Is...

This year I won the Halloween costume contest at work. (I dressed as a "Working Mom") YEAH!!!

Many have ask, so I have added a picture of the trophy that I won. Frank looks sooo cute on my desk!

Late Honeymoon

When we got married 4 years ago, we bought our house instead of going on a honeymoon. We told ourselves that on our first anniversary we would take a trip, instead we celebrated that anniversary with a doctor appointment to find out the sex of our baby. So after 4 years of marriage and one daughter later we finally went on our honeymoon. We went to Chicago and had a blast!! We walked to Navy Pier, Shedd Aquarium, and we shopped on Michigan Ave. It was nice having "Us as a couple" time and leave the "mommy and daddy us" back in KC. (We/I only called to check on Paisley once or twice a day, not bad for our first long trip without her.)
