Deals

I LOVE to shop! I am one of those people that can shop for hours on end and find great deals on stuff that I didn't know that I needed until I saw it on sale. Over the years Toby knows when I say the words "I am going shopping and I'll be home in a few hours" that he won't see me until bed time and when I come home, it's with LOTS of stuff. I am ever so excited to show him EVERYTHING and tell him how much I saved. He is a pretty good sport about it all (most of the time). Well, this year we have decided to tighten our family budget. So, in my search for the best deal I came across an amazing website called Deal Seeking Mom. I love this site because she has a whole section devoted to WalMart. (If ever I was board late at night in high school I would drag any friend with me that I could for a late night walmart run - Thank you Val, Chris and Amber for including me). This site does the hard work for you, she lists the items on sale or that has a coupon(with a link to the coupon) so all you have to do is print and shop. I decided that I would start small with a few baby items (we are in no short supply of babies in my family) to see if the coupons really work and boy did they! I was able to get all 10 of these baby items for $6.64. This site has a lot of very helpful deals. You should check it out!

Way back Wednesday – First Year

This is the first installment of “Way Back Wednesday”. My goal is to post a different picture from the past each week and explain why it was chosen. So, to kick off my first Way Back Wednesday I thought I would start with a slide show of Paisley's First Year. What can I say, I am a proud mommy and I couldn't decide on just one picture so I gathered a "few" from her first night home to her first birthday (and a few in between). I think with all the new babies joining our family it has made me miss the baby stage. It is so exciting to watch her grow, learn, change and develop into a little person. I blinked and now she is three already! Enjoy the slide show and be sure to check back next Wednesday!

Catch Up

I guess that I am not as good at multi tasking as I thought. Last week I got wrapped up in a few new projects, so blogging fell to the bottom of the list along with other things. But I was able to read three books, make a few burp cloths (still working on the matching bibs - for a baby shower next weekend), and I managed to pinched a nerve in my neck due to stress (that wasn't much fun). I was so focused on other things that I neglected Toby, Paisley, my house and blogging. Don't worry, Toby was Superman last week, he entertained Paisley and did most of the house work (maybe I should take the week off more often). Feeling a little guilty, I put myself on a schedule this week to get caught up on everything, including posting a new blog! I will let you all know how successful my schedule was this weekend. Wish me luck!!

Swim Lessons

Now that Paisley is three she has graduated out of the mommy and me classes. Tonight was the first night of swim lessons all by herself. She was sooo excited to start (if you couldn't tell)!! It was all she talked about for the last few days and part of our report from daycare was to inform us our that little social butterfly had invited all the other kids to come swimming tonight with her, she is just so thoughtful sometimes! :o)

Agenda for First Lesson:
  • Put face in water.......Check!
  • Swim (kick feet) holding on to the kick board on tummy and back.......Check!
  • Slide down the frog slide all by herself.........Check!
Look at her smile. She is so proud of herself!
Look at our big little girl! I just love her soooo much!

Best Birthday Party Ever

This weekend we went to the BEST Birthday party EVER and I'm not just saying that because his mommy might read this. :o) We had a blast! It was at the Fun Run in Liberty (anyone who has not been here needs to go). They have Indoor Inflatables and an Imagination Village. It was fun for the whole family (parents get on the inflatables too). Paisley LOVED the Imagination Village but didn't like the inflatables at first (she wouldn't let me put her down). But after she went down the slide without me (she didn't notice I wasn't following her anymore) she loved it and I was sidelined. So sad!!
Paisley didn't like the things that were enclosed.
After I was sidelined she had no fear!
