Our Vacation to Washington

Ok, so I am going to apologize ahead of time for all of the pictures (we got a little picture crazy and I found it hard not to share).

I also want to thank my Mom and Bob for inviting us to visit! We had a wonderful time! It is so nice to put a picture to all the things that you have been telling us about. We can't wait you guys to come home!!

Merrimere Falls - Washington

Our last outdoor adventure was hiking to Merrimer Falls at Crescent Lake. My little nature girl was in heaven! She loved the big trees, the waterfall, walking across the scary bridge and all of the birds.

The lake was so clear you could see the bottom. It was crazy! I already miss being so close to the water, gosh it was beautiful!

Port Townsend - Washington

Playing in the sand before we boarded the fairy to go to Port Townsend. If we lived on a beach she would be the happiest little girl in the world!

At North Beach in Port Townsend we collected sea glass, rocks, and shells. This is also when Paisley got a goose egg on her head. She was starting to get board, sleepy and hungry (not a very good combo) when she decided it was a good idea to through rocks. A big one went up and came right back down on her head. It sounded awful. Other than the knot on her head it was pretty fun! I can't wait to put the sea glass in my craft room.

Dazzled by Twilight - Washington

You guessed it...I am a fan of Twilight! I was super excited to visit Forks, La Push and Port Angeles. Thank you Mom, Bob, Toby and Paisley for putting up with my embarrassing love for all things Twilight.

(Gotta love their humor)

First Beach at La Push was so breath taking. Paisley loved balancing on the drift wood, playing in the sand with her "Dumper Dump Truck" and chasing the waves. Chasing the waves with her was so much fun. As the waves starting to come back to the shore her eyes would get huge, she would shriek and take off running. It was sooo cute! We even made a new friend, a dog.

(Look how utterly happy she is.)

I LOVE this picture! She is playing in the sand but so deep in thought. What could she be thinking about? I love her eyes, that cute button nose and super cute (chapped) lips! I just want to give her big kisses!!

Seattle - Washington

We spent the first two days of our vacation in Seattle (my calves still hurt from walking up all those hills). Some of the highlights of our time downtown:

Pike Place Market: All I can say is "Flying fish at Pure Food Fish Market. YEAH!"

The Children’s Museum Seattle: We ALL loved this place! Highlights from the museum: the Imagination Studio - Paisley's lovely art work is now on mom refrigerator, the Mountain Forest - it was like we went on a mini hike indoors (my kind of hike), a Grocery Store - Paisley loved shopping, a Theatre - where she performed John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt and many other fun areas.

The Seattle Aquarium: Our favorite exhibits were the seals, sea lions and otters. The lighting in this pictures make it look like Paisley is in the tank with the seals. Crazy!

The Space Needle: We didn't go up, just looked at it from the ground and as luck would have it we even got to experience the Northwest Folklife Festival down by the Space Needle and Children's Museum. We had so much fun watching the all the folk dancing, people and listening to the fun music. We even spotted a few 'Where's Waldo' look a likes.

The Crab Pot: On our way to the beaches we stopped for dinner at The Crab Pot. The food is delivered to the table and dumped out for everyone to enjoy. As you can see Paisley was a little worried that we didn't have plates. She even said in a very quite voice "Mommy, that is not very good manners."

Way Back Wednesday - Hop Scotch

This is one of my favorite movies of Paisley playing hop scotch. Who am I kidding...I love all things Paisley Pie. In this movie she was a little over a year and a half (1yr 8mths to be exact). Enjoy!!

Weekend Rewind

This weekend was a busy one for us. Saturday Paisley and I spent the day at home crafting. This little girl loves to make stuff just as much as I do and I am loving it!!
First on our list of fun stuff we made: Rainbow crayons. As you can see Paisley was a little unsure about whether or not we should put them in the oven. She enjoyed helping take the paper off but when it was time to brake the crayons into smaller pieces, she wanted no part in it. Her exact words to me "Mommy it is not nice to break our crayons." Guess she has heard that line a time or two.
At nap time I made a few more baby items for Karly, Torey, Grant and baby Boy Hensley.
This is for the boys.

This is for little Miss Karly
This is for little Miss Torey
(I might make one for the big girls also and get pictures of everyone together)
I found these little dresses on sale for $3.00 and added the flower.

Then added their name on the bloomers. (I made one for both Torey and Karly)

Sunday was spent in KC for a graduation party, family and friends.
Congrats Grace! We are so proud of you. You are a great little sister (from my other parents)!

I was surprised (only because I was not in the loop) at Grace's party to see The Hensley Family. It was nice to get to visit in person and officially meet Emma for the first time. I even got to rub Val's belly. I sure love baby bumps.

Fun Times

It's just another Thursday night at the Vincent house and nice weather equals play time out side before bed.

Leave it to my mom to bring a toad into the house for Paisley to play with. Paisley was so interested in this little guy. It was the first time she has been close to a toad and she loved watching him jump around the living room. Me on the other hand, I couldn't wait for him to go back outside where he belongs and to wash Paisley's hands. Yes, I am THAT kind of mom. At least Paisley has her Nana to show her fun stuff like this because mean old mom is not going to do it!

Mother's Day (Part 2)

A Mother's Day tradition in our house...spending the day in the garden. This is something I did with my mom and really enjoyed. (I am not much of a gardener but I'm trying) This year I wanted to plant half of the plants in the ground and half in fun flower pot. Flower pots can get very expensive so I bought these super cheep Terra Cotta pots from one of my favorite stores, Old Time Pottery in Independence. It rained for most of the day on Mother's day so Paisley and I spent the day painting these flower pots.
Here is our new and improved little garden with our fun and very bright flower pots. We are not quite done yet but so far so good. Paisley loves going out to water her new flowers.
