Disney on Ice

Tonight we surprised Paisley by taking her to see her first Disney on Ice show! And I have to be honest; I was just as excited as she was. We got to the Expo Center an hour early so we would have plenty of time to find our seats (we were eight rows from the ice - not bad for $12 tickets), walk around a bit, get snacks and some souvenirs before the show started. All of our favorite Disney characters where there. It was fun watching Paisley get so excited when a new person/group would come out that she knew. Her favorite was the gang from Toy Story, my vote was for the group from Lion King and Toby's favorite was the Aladdin crew.
(P.S. Sorry for the pictures overload. I couldn't help myself.)

Better Now

Big Sister? No Thanks!
To say that Paisley wasn't excited about being a big sister at first is the understatement of the year! When we asked (our first mistake) if she wanted to be a big sister she told us "No thank you." and that was the end of the conversion. A few days later we asked again (you think we would learn) and this time her answer was "No way. Not in THIS house!" and folded her arms across her chest and walked away.
(I think this picture pretty much sums up Paisley's first thoughts about being a big sister!)

BUT...I am happy to say that she is super excited now! With each new baby item that we bring home Paisley is very interested to see how it works and why the baby will need it. She loved pushing the stroller around the house.

She even helped us repaint her room (they will have to share). She started out painting in a nice little box just like we asked.

Then she started getting creative. This is the story she told me about her painting below. "Mommy, this is my friend Allison. She broke her arm (that is the part she was painting on the left) and has to drink her milk out of a sippy cup (that is the blob on the right).
Paisley/Baby Story:
Today at Hallmark Paisley started a conversion with the cashier. She wanted to know her name and if she had a dog. So the cashier decided to asked Paisley a question. She asked if Paisley had a baby brother or sister at home and Paisley answered; "Not yet. My baby is still in my mommy's belly." Then the cashier asked her if we knew what the baby was and Paisley answered; "The doctor says that it is a boy or a girl." She is too funny!
New Baby Update:
We went to the doctor on Friday for my 12 week appointment. After a very rough week we finally got to hear the heartbeat. And I was assured that our newest little one sounded very strong. (The heartbeat was 135) We couldn't be happier!! Paisley enjoyed getting to hear the heart beat. She said "That baby is super loud."

Tutu Much Fun!

My siblings and I decided that this year we would get pictures taken of everyone and give them as gifts to our parents, grandparents and great-grandparents for Christmas. (Sorry, I am not very good at keeping secrets.) After about 4 hours of pictures, I think that got a few good shots.
Here is the the big group shot of everyone! From left to right: Me and my family (I'm the oldest of the siblings), then Hollie and her family (She is 13 months younger than I am), then we have Josh and his family (the baby of the four of us by 5 years), then Stephen and his family (He is also 13 months younger than I am & 21 minutes younger than Hollie). When we all get together it is crazy and loud but lots of fun!
I think everyone knows this family. :o)

Hollie, Avrey, Rylee and Johnny

A very happy Karly!
Korey, Torey & Josh

And here are a few of my favorite shots of just the girls! You can tell that these five little beauties are related. Seeing them all together just makes my heart so happy!!

Halloween 2009

At the beginning of October Paisley told us that she wanted to be a hot dog for Halloween. She also said that she wanted Toby and I to be the ketchup and mustard. We agreed but we where happily surprised when she changed her mind and wanted to be a cat instead. As you can see she is very happy with her choice.

This year Toby took Paisley out trick-or-treating while I stayed home to hand out candy. (I was home because I was feeling pretty sick - p.s. I have a bone to pick with the person who invented the term "Morning Sickness" because my sickness cannot tell time!) Anyhow, when they got home Paisley told me all about how much fun she had trick-or-treating. Then Toby told me about the last house they went to; it had a haunted house in the front lawn. At this same house last year Paisley made it to the sidewalk then she heard a scary sound and wouldn't go any closer. This year she was brave enough to enter. Toby said that she made it around the first corner when someone jumped out at her and that is when he said she ran as fast as she could towards the entrance. The guy that scared her came over to Toby and said he was sorry and didn't mean to scare her but Paisley was done and ready to come home. Oh well, maybe next year she will make it all the way through.
Look at last year's picture compared to this year's picture.
(Look at how much she has grown and how big her feet are!)

Halloween 2009 - Work

I love that my job lets us dress up for Halloween. Last year I was a Working Mom and won the trophy. This year I decided to tell the office that I was expecting so I was a "Womb with a View". I made a window out of a picture frame, added my sonogram picture, added ribbon and put it around my neck (so it hung in front of my belly). I think that it is safe to say that everyone knows our good news!
