Shoulda Stayed Home!

Talk about a "Bah Humbug" kind of day!

For starters I had a bad night Tuesday night, that made my day today start off not so happy. I just couldn't shake my Bah Humbug attitude all day at work. So, when five o'clock finally rolled around, I am gone (but I should have left at 4:30). On my rush out of the office I didn't take the time to zip up my coat so when I walked out the doors I was immediately assaulted by the cold rainy weather. As I am trying to walk and zip up my coat my new found larger than life ta-ta's decide that they wanted freedom right at that very moment (note to self I REALLY need a new bra, like last week)! So now I am REALLY cold and more flustered because I can't zip up my coat (insert a few choice words)! I am now almost to my car and my zipper decides to finally work so I lock & load the ladies and finish zipping up my coat! When I get home I am retelling this story to Toby, joking that I should just cancel my hair appointment at 7:30 because with my luck my hair will turn orange.

Seven o'clock rolls around and I am off to my hair appointment. Everything is going good. My hair is colored, washed, cut and now she has started the LONG process/battle to get my hair dry, straight and frizz free. About half way through this process the power goes out on the block! Seriously? Come on! So, we have to stop. (Anyone that has seen this process knows that it looks way worse before it looks better) so right about now I am a dead ringer for Bozo the Clown - minus the orange! After the salon girls make a few calls, write out my ticket and take my credit card info (about 45 min so now my hair has gotten even bigger than it was because of air drying) I am finally on my way home.

All I have to say is "Good night bad day I hope I can laugh about you tomorrow!"

Baby Vincent Update (16 wks)

Sorry this is almost a week late. A nasty little flu bug has made it rounds at our house!

I had my 16 week check up last Friday and everything looks good. The heartbeat started out at 138 but then our little peanut decided to go for a little jog and made the doctor chase it around a bit so when peanut stopped the heartbeat was 144. Looks like we will have another VERY active little one on our hands. Many have asked so I wanted to confirm, I officially have a baby bump now!

Other fun news:
We have new bedding for Paisley/Peanut's room and big plans for it!!! After the appointment Paisley and I went shopping with Gi-Gi and we found this bedding and all three of us fell in LOVE with it!! And the best was on clearance! YEAH!!

The game plan:
  • I want to use the striped side of the bumper for the bed skirt on Paisley bed
  • The polka dot side of the bumper for curtains
  • The extra crib sheet for a pillow case for Paisley's bed
  • Get/make a solid bed skirt for the crib
  • Get a solid sheet for Paisley's bed
  • Get a solid comforter for Paisley's bed and then add polka dots to it
I can't wait to get started!!

Our Family

Guess what we got in the mail....the CD of our family pictures!!! YEA!!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!! We will definitely make the trip to Meg again next year! It was so worth the trip!
(Sorry ahead of time for the picture over load but I couldn't choose just a few.)
Just look at Paisley's face! How sweet is she?!

(I love her eyes in this one and look how big she looks! Can you believe that she will be 4 in a little over a month? Where did the time go?)

(She LOVES her daddy!)

Snow Day

Toby sure picked a great week to be out of town! Last night it looked like this.

So Paisley and I shoveled the driveway and sidewalk. Paisley was such a big helper. (Boy am I glad I got her that snow shovel last Summer at a garage sale because she LOVES its!)
But before we started shoveling I should have watched the weather report because when we woke up this morning you couldn't even tell that we had done anything. What a shame, looks like we will be shoveling again tonight.
So, with all the snow and ice we got yesterday and last night all State and Government employees (along with schools, churches and daycare centers) have a SNOW DAY today!! YEA!!! Our game plan for the day is to stay warm, stay in our PJ's and have fun. Oh how I love snow days!

A First Meeting

Paisley met someone for the first time this weekend, Santa! When she saw him her eyes got huge and she looked up at me and asked "Mommy, do you think Santa knows me?" I told her yes of course and her smile melted my heart! When she turned around to look at him she waved and when he waved back she almost started to cry. As we slowly moved up the line she got more and more excited to talk to him. Santa took a little break right before Paisley's turn and from her place in line she kind of yelled over at him and said "Santa, do you remember me? I'm Paisley!" He smiled, nodded his head and waved at her and she want crazy! She didn't stop jumping around until she sat on his lap. As we where leaving she told us "When I was a little kid I never got to meet Santa before. Thank you for taking me today. It was the best day EVER!"

What a Monster!

First of all I want to start off by telling anyone and EVERYONE that has come into contact with me recently that I am truly sorry if I was mean or rude to you. I have not been the nicest pregnant person to be around lately and I am sorry if I have taken it out on you. In my defence all day sickness has been kicking my butt, my hormones have me on a crazy roller coaster everyday and I have been working a lot of extra hours. But knowing that I have been mean I am working on fixing things. So, please stop running from me when you see me coming (it is starting to hurt my feelings) and please quit talking to other people to avoid ME. I promise that I will not bit your head off. I think this quote from Knocked Up pretty much sums up how I have been acting lately and what people around me probably would like to say to me. (Sorry for the language in the quote but I think it rings true.)

Ben Stone to Alison at the doctor's office: "You know what, I know this isn't you talking, it's your hormones, but I would just like to say, F#%CK YOU, HORMONES, YOU ARE A CRAZY B*%CH, HORMONES - not Alison, HORMONES. F#%ck'em. It's a girl, buy some pink sh*t."

P.S. My morning sickness is pretty much gone and as of this week I am no longer working nights or weekends so now I am going to focus on getting my hormones under control again. Please bear with me...I promise you will have your regular Sarah back soon.

Tis the Season

It's that time of year and I am sooo excited!!!

Let me give you a tour of our house in all it's Christmas glory! This is our "Pretty Tree" in the living room. I know this might sound a little crazy but our living room tree matches the colors in our living room. It makes me sooo happy to everything matching!

This time next year our mantel will look a little different!

And I LOVE my bookshelf!

Look how cute my Irish Santa is (kilt and all)!

After Paisley was born I wanted to do a fun tree for her so I broke all of my tree rules for our "Kid Tree" (this tree is in the movie room). It was my first tree with color lights, it also has a candy cane and gumdrop garland, silver bulbs and fun ordainment's that different people have given us/Paisley over the last few years. We even started a tradition of taking Paisley to Hallmark to pick out a new Disney ordainment for the her tree.

Let me be honest, our tree has been up for a few weeks, all of the gifts have been bought and wrapped. So now we can sit back relax and enjoy December! I think that I may even have time to make a few fun Christmas crafts (stay tuned)!

Karly's 1st Birthday

Happy Birthday Karly!
We celebrated the big day on Saturday with family and friends. The party was a monkey theme (or course) and we had sooo much fun. It is hard to believe that a year has gone by already. We love you so much Karly!! Happy Birthday!

Karly LOVED being the star!
She is such a girl! She didn't want to get her hands dirty so she just took bits with her mouth with no hands.
