We have finally finished our kiddo's room. YEAH!!
It has been a long process due to a difference of option a few times between Paisley and I on our vision/plan for the room. If you remember correctly we started out with the ABC bedding pictured below. (Paisley helped pick it out and was with me when I bought it)
Then around Paisley's birthday we were in her bedroom talking about me getting started on making everything for her room when she said "Mommy, this just isn't going to work for me" as she pointed at the ABC bedding in Ryder's crib. So we set out on a mission to find bedding for the room that would work for both Paisley and Ryder. After the fifth store we went to (Bed Bath & Beyond) Paisley decided that this bedding was what she wanted. And I have to say, I love it!! She did a very good job picking it out.
After that decision was made I decided that I would make Ryder's bedding so it would match Paisley bedding. I picked up the matching panel curtain and turned it into a bed skirt and topped it off with a solid brown sheet. But no one in our house liked the way it turned out but me. Both Paisley and Toby thought that it was too girlie for Ryder. Paisley exact words "Mommy, Ryder can't have that bedding because it has pink in it and pink is for girls." Then Toby said that it looked good and it could work but if they were not sharing a room there is NO way this bedding would fly. So I started to feel guilty, thinking that maybe they were right and maybe it wasn't fair to Ryder that his bedding was borderline girlie. So I started looking again at bedding.

Ok so really I heart maternity underwear not granny panties but when I took them out of the package they sure did look like granny panties. In fact when I showed them to Toby we both were laughing about how I got the wrong size. Then I tried them on and started to cry/laugh because not only did they fit but they were oh so comfy. So, why did I fight giving up my Victoria's Secrete undies? Why did it take me getting to this point before I decided to make the switch?

Our silly car ride to Gigi & Papa Jim's house!
Bubbles! What kid doesn't LOVE bubbles?
Fun with Kites!
(My Grandma & Grandpa's house is on an outer road off of I70. So, in real live the cars are not as close as they look in some of the pictures)

Earlier this week I fell again. Family and friends would like it better if I either: bubble wrapped myself, locked myself in a padded room or got a motorized scooter to get around. My goal is to try to keep my feet under me all on my own.
Well, back to what happened, Paisley and I were out in the yard planning what we wanted to do with our garden this year when I decided to go into the house to get a pen and paper so we could see what it would look like (we are very visual people). When I went to step up on the deck my feet just didn't move and down I went. At least this time I was able to turn my body so I got more of my right side than my front. I called my OB and was told to do kick counts to make sure Ryder was ok, rest with my feet up, drink lots of water, and watch for bleeding. I think Ryder enjoyed this fall because he was moving and shaking like CRAZY! So no worries on the baby front. Also for me, not so lucky. Not even a full week out of the brace for my wrist and it started to swell again and my shoulder really hurt. So the next day I called the doctor again to report that Mr. Ryder was fine and to see if I should be seen for my shoulder. He advised that I get it looked at just to be on the safe side. So I went in and the diagnoses is: dislocated shoulder and fractured collar done. I am not sporting a very fashionable black sling for the next three weeks and can take Tylenol for the pain as needed.
